We have many other demands on our lives and time. What are some ways that we, as peer coaches, that we can model appropriate time management?

However, in my professional life, as an educator, it is a must in order to be successful. Keeping a calendar on my desk and making a new To Do List every morning, keeps me on track. It also keeps those most important things in the right place. If there is something that comes up and I need to take of it later, I make a note of that as well. These things stay on my desk at all times.","dateCreated":"1241574443","smartDate":"May 5, 2009","userCreated":{"username":"bburrell3","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/bburrell3","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/pic\/1241574009\/bburrell3-lg.jpg"}},{"id":"11786919","body":"I'm probably one of the worst for modeling time management. I may not have the qualities a good peer coach should possess. I make my weekly plans and daily plans, but seldom get them all accomplished. How do you alott 30-45 minutes to teach the concept of subtraction with regrouping to a third grader? I know it is done over several class periods and through many different activities, but it is so difficult to just cut off a lesson like that when you feel like you're making progress. Once one lesson carries over, you know what happens to the remainder of your day. My class is constantly active, no down time. Yet, due to the increased demands of the curriculum and standards to be taught, we still can not get everything accomplished. I guess it gets back to that saying, "Don't work harder. Work smarter."","dateCreated":"1241578881","smartDate":"May 5, 2009","userCreated":{"username":"joyclay","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/joyclay","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"11793997","body":"I believe that if a leader in the building keeps their word and sticks to the schedule as much as possible, then that sets a positive and effective model for the faculty to follow.
